What is Taoism?
Taoism is a Chinese tradition that emphasizes living in harmony with the Tao (way). The way, meaning a path that we follow, which is in harmony with nature. The mysterious concept of Taoism and its true significance is almost impossible to express in verbal language.
Taoism differs from other religions in the way it is no god or a deity who is worshiped. Some may honor Laozi (Lao Tzu) who wrote the Tao Te Chingin; the old philosophical text that Taoism is based on, but what is entirely up to the individual who follows the Tao.
The Ying/Yang symbol represents masculine and feminine energies intertwined in equal harmony and that one cannot exist without the other.
The Taoist practices of the Jade Egg balance the masculine and feminine energies within our bodies. Green Nephrite Jade and Obsidian are ideal for this practice, as the chi (life force) structure of the stones naturally has balanced Yin/Yang energies.
The Taoist systems regards the sexual organs as the roots of life, connected to all other glands and organs. When you begin to practice with your Jade Eggs, you will begin to gradually restore sexual, creative and generative energy and transform them into refined Chi; a pure spiritual energy. You can then increase the possibility that you will experience what Taoists call ‘beyond orgasm,’ which will fuse you into an energetic and meditative state as well as give you a sense of cosmic tranquility.
